Crew Information
Captain: Andrew Sutherland
Captain: Andrew Sutherland
Being highly experienced, organized and driven, Captain Andy has been successfully working on a range of vessels – both sail and power, large and small, private and charter, as a Captain and a marine engineer for over 12 years. Ranging from a project manager to hands on technician over the past three years Captain Andy completed a vast range of modifications and improvements at the owner’s request on a privately owned catamaran. During that time, he and his wife Sadie sailed through the Caribbean, did 3 Panama canal transits, explored the west coast of Central America and the north coast of South America, culminating from Panama to French Polynesia by covering about 8,000 NM while maintaining the boat to a high standard as well as accommodating the needs of the various guests on board, mostly in very remote areas of the world where technical help was rare to non-existent. Captain Andy is also a PADI Master Scuba Diving Instructor, underwater photographer, drone pilot and kite surfer. He enjoys being on water and under it and together with Sadie they always strive for new opportunities, adventures and horizons.
Chef: Sadie Sutherland
Outgoing, sociable and creative, Sadie has been working as a Chef on a variety of sail and motor yachts for the past 12 years alongside her husband Andy as the Captain. She truly adores cooking and is always looking for new ways to be creative with whatever fresh and local ingredients are available, preferring to cook everything from scratch. Sadie is adaptable and flexible and has experience in cooking for many dietary requirements. With the boat constantly on the move and in often very remote locations this required a high level of organization for menu planning and provisioning. Being an experienced hostess and interior manager as well, Sadie loves entertaining guests. In addition to her passion for sailing and diving, Sadie enjoys any water sport activities and has recently learnt to Kite Surf.
First Mate: Joshua Bradley
Passionate about navigating, Joshua has sailed from the young age and it came as a natural progression for him to start a career in the yachting industry. Over the past four years he has learnt a great deal about yacht maintenance, handling and life at the sea. Apart from sailing Joshua loves climbing, mountaineering, diving, skateboarding and cooking. Very hard-working, he is always ready to help with a big smile on his face.
Stewardess: Emily Slaney
Emily’s passion for hospitality and serving industry has grown from the start of her career having worked in a small café to assisting highly professional chefs on luxurious charter yachts. The love of being on the sea is the best job motivator for her. Her friendly and attentive approach towards the needs of charter guests creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere on board.
